Since you asked......

This trip is for Trevor and I. He earned it through work (sold enough stuff), so it's also a free trip. The best kind, right?!!! Well, free except for the morning at the spa Trevor booked for me and the jeep ride/snorkeling excursion I booked in Cozumel. We also get a $100 credit on the ship to put towards whatever. Couldn't get much better, huh?! I know, we're blessed! Times like this I love that my husband is in sales and welcome the perks that come with it.

Even if the weather isn't hot or even if it rains a little, so be it. It can't be any worse than negative degree weather like here. I'll try to bring the sunshine back with me to unthaw everyone - no promises though!! See you when I'm back!!

We've done a lot of talking about taking the kids to Disney this year also but then got to thinking about a Disney cruise. If you've been to/on either maybe you could give me some feed back on the pros and cons of each. Which is better?

Wow! What a blessing to receive. I hope you have a great time and spend your time recharging together! I have not been to Disney so I can not help you with that! Have a great trip and we will talk to you when you get back!

Well, being that I work for Disney World...I'd have to say Disney is quite nice. However, I have never been on a Disney Cruise...so can't help you there. Depends on how much money you want to spend. And how long you want to visit. Disney Cruise = everything is included in the price, and it's for a set amount of days. Disney World = you can spend a crazy amount of money if you don't keep track of your money. Depends on what you're looking for as well. Entertainment on the cruise ship is limited to what they have there. At the parks, entertainment is pretty much unlimited.

I could go on and on. Make sure you do research.

Amy,

Looks like good times are coming your way...

I have never been on a Disney Cruise (yet), but as a new travel agent that is totally on my list.

Been to Disney hundreds of times...we live about 3 hours from there so when our kids were younger we used to go up there about every 6 weeks. It is tons of fun and something they will never forget, but before you go you should get one of those "insider" books to find out the best times to go, best places to eat, and other great tips to save some cash, because it adds up fast.

Can't wait to hear which one you guys decide on...enjoy!

Oh, by the way, Nice to meet ya!

Sounds like you will have a great time. For me, that would be too many people way to close. I really am a country girl at heart.

I have been to Disney World and it was great. We want to take the kids in a couple of years but I also think a cruise might be nice. Not sure what to tell you!

I have been to Disney World and it was a TON of fun. Haven't been on a cruise. Not sure I ever intend too...

I am not one for BIG boats in LOTS of water.

Haven't been on a cruise, but the kids really liked Disney World. I do know the lines are long, unless you can go at a slower time. We were there in November when Miranda was little and it wasn't too bad.

Enjoy your free(the best kind!) cruise. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back.

Haven't been on a cruise - and I don't think I want to. I think the motion sickness would bother me too much. (Hayley got sick on the airplane ride so I'm not sure she could handle a cruise.)

I've been to Disney World four times, once with the kids - they were 7 & 8 yrs old. There is SO much to do at all the parks. I think a cruise would cut into that unless you plan to spend more than a week down there. Plus as someone stated earlier, the cruise has limited entertainment while the parks have unlimited entertainment. My recommendation would be to skip the cruise.

Good luck in your decision. :)

Hey Amy? I love reading your blog and I stop by everyday to see what you and your family are up to....but I can't read the blue print :(

The teal color isn't too bad but the darker color just runs together with the dark grey background. Sorry but I thought you might want to know. Maybe others are having trouble reading it too????

Or maybe it's yet another sign of my aging body. Ha!

I'm so jealous! I wish I was going way south for the winter, too. Even if it is for just a few days. I would so love to thaw out for a few days. Hope you have/had fun.
