Music to my ears....

After Kale arrived home from the first day of school there was just nothing better to hear than,

"I love my new teacher, she is so cool and really funny!"

Oh, thank goodness for that.

Nikia on the other hand, is still in awe that she gets to go to school every day - all day and that she has a real locker.

I think we're off to a good start!!

They think they are pretty cool when they get a "real" locker huh....and we had to wait until 7th grade to be "COOL".

Glad that Kale likes his teacher and that Kia likes her locker and gets to go every day now....what's mom gonna do (more work I bet). I got more done yesterday than I did all summer I think!

sounds very familiar...

nic had some fear about the first grade after a neighbor boy told him that they do 'really hard spelling tests in first grade'....

nic came home traumatized after this conversation and said, "but mom, i don't know HOW to spell!" i replied, "you will soon."

after day one of school he said, "mom, first grade was so much better than i thought it was going to be."

thank God for small miracles.

I am laughing right now. Not at the post but the picture. I would have never noticed what you talked about last night and now I find myself just staring at it. Honestly, it does not look bad at all. I love the hostas though!!! I just planted some in my backyard so they are not very big yet. Glad they liked school!!!
