Happy Easter!

It was a nice weekend (not exactly weather wise). My family got together on Saturday instead of on Sunday due to my Aunt and Uncle being here. We wanted to include them so we switched days. The kids enjoyed hunting for eggs in the house and us adults enjoyed playing games and chatting. Of course the food was yummy good also, too good actually.

This morning the sun was shining but it was still chilly out. I tried to curl Nikia's hair all over but by the time we got to church it just looked like a few kinks here and there - bummer! Nikia did well and remembered her line and said it very clearly. After church we ate at Minerva's for their Easter Buffet. Mmmm mmmm good.

With all the food I've consumed I should finish the weekend off with a long long run on the treadmill tonight, but let me just be honest - I'll run tomorrow!

Oh by the way, these are pictures of the kids in their Easter attire, as if you couldn't figure it out.

Okay, they look so GREAT! Nikia's dress is just what I would have put my girls in. I can't believe it! I'm sitting here shaking my head because I love it! Jenna wore her new dress from her Chicago trip, spaghetti straps and all even with snow on the ground. She had to wear her coat, but she didn't care. We walked into church and some lady walked up to tell her how cute she looked :) I guess it's still fun to dress up for Easter.
Glad you had a fun Sat and Sun. We all ate too much, too, but it was wonderful to be with family.

They looked adorable! Glad you had a good Easter! I have to take the time and upload all my pics! HArd when I don't have INTERNET at home!!! Darn husband! Anyways, next year I will have to be smart and hit one of those buffets, much easier! By the way, thanks for the comment on my blog! It would be really hard to leave our church family!

Your children look GREAT!! Very adorable kids you have there...

Glad you had a great Easter. I tried putting off working out on the eliptical last night too but decided I'd better do it. Too much food entered this mouth yesterday without hesitation! UGH!

Oh, I'm so glad it was a hit! That's some good stuff! We had a good Easter, just down with a nasty cold, but I didn't let it stop me from enjoying Easter church service and a yummy lunch!

Love the outfits - they are both growing up too fast! They are wonderful kids. You are correct the food was soooo good. We commented that we most certainly couldn't eat like that very often. Doesnt come off as fast as it used to.

Sounds like fun. We had a nice weekend but a bit strange without family around although most holidays are that way for us.

I felt the same way about the food and the treadmill....it can wait!
Now I am your conscience...did you run today? I just finished 3 miles...phew I am tired.

The kids look so nice. Glad to hear Nikia did so well. That certainly builds confidence in children.

Michelle~ I did run today! It felt good too. I was just visualizing all the jelly beans melting away. Now, I suppose the right thing to do would be to hide that candy jar that still has jelly beans in it!!!!!

Your kids look very adorable.

I was worried Alex was going to freeze Sunday (we couldn't find a nice sweater). Luckily it was very toasty inside the church.
