I've Been Tagged......

Thanks for the tag Lori B, I'll do my best.

What is a Real Mum?

First of all I just have to ask, why is it spelled that way? Anyway, I thought instead of giving you my opinion I'd ask my kids what they thought a real Mom was. This is all I got out of them:

Kale: She's a person who helps out men. She's a person who stays home. She loves us. She cares about us. She's nice and thoughtful.

Nikia: She's a person who raises her kids until they get married and then she goes to visit them.

Yep, that's it. That's all my children could come up with. I've made that BIG of an impression on their lives.

obviously you have! look at the lessons they've learned in just those simple statments...

1)you are helpful, even to the enemy- i mean men. so in their eyes you are a good wife, your son will look for someone like you.
2)you stay home. you sacrifice other things but not your time with the kids. it is obviously important enough to him to mention.
3)thoughtful and nice- i KNOW mine wouldn't come up with that one.
4)raises her kids/then visits them- family is important to you and they know it!

well done Amy, you should be proud.

This is great Amy! I like the format you used... I was feeling kinda pressured.... only by myself.. to perform on this one... Don't know why I do that to myself... anyway...I'm trying to decide how to do this....according to MY personality etc...
Congrats! this is great... I love what they had to say...it sound so sweet and genuine.

ps

Kids do tell it like it is and what they have told shows what a grand job you have and are doing. Keep up the good work.

I love your son saying you help out the men. Wonder how many kids could say that?

Amy how sweet! Sounds like you have smart kids....from the moths of babes! Smart of you to ask them too. I love the tulips....how is your weather today?

Be glad they didn't say something like, "she yells at us and sends us to our room". :)

Ahhh...they just put it out there don't they? :) Ask 'em in 20 years and see if their answer has changed any!

That is so sweet Amy - I can totally see from your kids what a great mum you are!!

btw, I almost used Mumma instead of Momma as my profile name because that is how my hubby says it. He always asks how Mumma is doing. I don't think he was around the english teachers that I apparently was - te he :) Very cute post!
I included the groundhog on mine because I was thinking of you!

Trust me, these words become more clear as they get older. I have the simple version from when they were young like your kids and now the wordy version from their hearts now that they have lived out of my house. They know you are an AWESOME mommy! Keep up the good work. It doesn't take much reading of your blog to see how terrific you are!
