We Have A New Kid !

Sunday when we came home from the cities Trevor went to the barn to do chores and found our newest little kid.

Isn't she cute. She's a little goat not a lamb. Kale has named her Snowball. She's only about 10 inches tall. We have 6 other pygmy goats including her mama. I got them two years ago just to have some animals in our pasture and for my kids to learn the responsibility of chores.

Cute! I bet the kids love the her! Hunter wants to buy some cows for our backyard for his pets. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and that is enough animals for me! :)

Hmmm, made me think...goat, lamb, sheep...? I guess I need to go back to the kids books and relearn my animals, haha. It looks like a lamb, but I guess goats do not grow up to be sheet, huh? Does it show that I'm farm illiterate? I think my 18 year old would go nuts over it. She loves any baby animal. Cute picture!

Hi Amy - I'm a lurker on your site from time to time. I've seen you post on other blogs I read.

Snowball is adorable. We just had a baby in November. I would catch my husband saying something about 'the kid' and I would scold him and tell him that we were having a baby - not a baby goat. ;)

Hope you don't mind me making a comment.

You really are a country girl, aren't you? I have a lot to learn from you; I think people outside of city life have a more balanced perspective on life. I'm glad to get to know you from your blog.
