Shipwrecked In Paradise was the theme of the night. The girls looked very beautiful and the guys were looking mighty handsome. Nikia and Kale made their way to each of their high school friends to get a picture with them. (click on the pictures to see the finer details in the dresses - they were soooo pretty)
Nikia and Lee - he's a really nice guy and so sweet to Nikia!!
Kale and Jade - her dress was gorgeous, so was she!! Oooo, he's touching her bare shoulder.
Is he blushing? She's always been so nice and kind to him. He's going to miss her next year.
Kale, Cassie and Nikia - loved her dress and her hair was fixed so cute too!
LaRae and Kale - pretty as always!
Kale and Dani - she's beautiful and a nut!
Nikia and Travis - looking good big guy!
Kale, Megan and Nikia - she's a beautiful girl inside and out!
Kale and Kasey - She was ready for the dance by the time we finally caught up to her. She's another one that has a
beauty on the inside and out.
Nikia and Kari Anne - She is the sweetest foreign exchange student our school has ever had.
Nikia and Jenny - This girl is a cowgirl and was a rodeo queen last year. She's a really gorgeous girl too!!!
It was a lot of fun to see all the different styles and colors of dresses. I have no idea what they pay for those now days - lots more than I did way back when.

I love the picture of Kale and Dani. How funny! I always love going to grand march but right now we don't know any of the high schoolers. The down side of going to a big school.
Thanks for sharing these pictures. All the girls and gowns are pure beautiful. I'll bet those dresses cost BIG bucks!! It's so nice that they took the time with your children and you can tell they are enjoying it. Your daughter is such a beauty, even at her young age, she'll be one of these beautiful young women all dresses up gorgeous before you know it, Amy. Glad to see you're getting out and having a good time.
Wow those dresses are incredible! Some of them look like they're made for royalty!! They're sure a far cry from what we had in our day!! ('86).
Looks like your kids had fun... So do you have family grad-ing or do you guys just go for the fun of it?
It was Jenna's senior prom this weekend, too. She did not go :( I guess in her mind she's already finished with high school. I hope someday she's not sorry.
How did your kids get to see all of the high school kids? That was really awesome!
Jade's dress looks amazing! Prom is so much fun. So many great memories for those kids!
Hi Amy,
Thanks for visiting my blog. Actually, you can find dresses that are not as expensive as you would think (although you also find ones that make you feel faint when you see the price!) Also, there are lots of used dresses (usually worn once) that friends will trade around or sell fairly cheap. What we found to be the hardest, was finding dresses that were modest enough for a Christian young lady to wear.
What beautiful dresses! I'm sure they are way more expensive then when I was in high school too.
Great pictures Amy. Your kids look so excited. Aren't we lucky to have great high school kids that take the time to pose with our younger kids! (and to know them by name too) Small schools are the greatest.
Wow! Those girls are just lovely.
(Hey Amy, I'm changing my blog address:

Those dresses are so pretty! And the smiles are on your kid's faces are great!
I was wondering, too, about your connection with the HS.
What special memories that makes for your children - I'm sure they will be excited for their prom because of all these fun times.
MEGAN-GORGEOUS! I cannot believe these girls are in HIGH SCHOOL. When I was in high school, I looked like I was in high school. Girls these days are much more mature looking. WOWZA!!
Thanks for sharing your pics. AWWW, prom!
