First Day of Spring!

I thought I'd share some photos of our two newest little kids. The white one was born Sunday and the blackish one was born Monday. They were so fun to watch jumping and running around this morning.

It was foggy, no wind, warmer and such a nice refreshing morning. I sat and watched the goats, I listened and watched the geese flying over head, the cats were playing around in the barn, and the dog was already taking another nap for the day. Spring is in the air. Finally!

Oh my gosh, they're adorable. I don't have first-hand experience, but this must be one of the rewarding parts of farm country living.

Sounds like one of those perfect moments you want to capture as a picture in your mind :)

I would gush about how adoreable the babies are...except I know how STUPID goats are and as soon as I gushed about their charm they'd do something brillant like eat a bucket of nails.

I have first hand experience with kids (both types).

Heidi, the key is to not leave a bucket of nails in their pen. Hee Hee! My brother had goats for a while. He didn't keep them in a pen and they wondered all over his yard as they pleased. One day when I was at his place the goats decided my black Suburban looked like a good mountain to climb on. He no longer has goats. My goats, however, have a pen and behave like angels :) Except for they chew on the wood on the barn - as you can see in the pictures. But, even horses or cows will do that.

Amy... there is nothing like new babies on a farm to remind you the hope of spring and warmer weather. You make me want to go to my parents farm in OHIO and see the new calves that will be coming for the next 3 or 4 months. Okay, maybe I will go to a local farm and enjoy their animals playing in the SC warm sun!

Have not a clue about goats, but they look cute and you paint a really great picture of farm life. I don't think I'd do very well living it. Good thing we are all different :)

Our old neighbors always had goats so as soon at they were born, we would take our kids over to see them! Brooklyn loved them and the lambs!

The goats are darling. I like the white one. I could just sense the peace of your "Life in the Country" as I read this. Enjoy!
